About Us & Our Story
The Story Behind the Firewood and the Farm
The Appalachian Staple was born from hard work, good wood, and a fire that never quit burning.
Our roots run back to Tennessee Mountain Firewood, a business we’ve been proud to run for nearly six years. Through every cold season, we’ve split, stacked, and hauled firewood across these hills — and when spring came, we turned our attention back to the farm.
Over time, a dream started to take shape — to bring those two worlds together.
Today, we use that same wood we’ve cut by hand to cook many of our proteins over open flame, the way it’s been done in these mountains for generations. It’s honest work that fills the air with smoke, the kitchen with warmth, and every meal with flavor that only fire can give.
How It Works
What we don’t raise ourselves, we source from local farmers we know and trust. When something isn’t available nearby, we’ll look a little farther — but only to bring more variety to your table. We follow the seasons as best we can, letting each dish reflect what’s fresh from the field.
Our menu changes every week, offering prepared meals, soups, salads, and fresh produce.Orders close each Sunday night, we deliver every Wednesday between 10 and 5, and a brand-new menu launches each Thursday for the following week’s delivery.
